Where Stripe Atlas is stronger, and where it costs you.

Stronger

Founder equity, the 83(b) election filing and document templates are part of the price, set up the way US startup investors expect.
Delaware's filing fee, next-day filing and the first year of registered agent are all inside one price.
Its $100 agent renewal is among the lowest here, and the $500 comes back if you deposit $5,000 into Stripe Treasury.

Where it costs you

Delaware only, which means $400 a year in state tax for an LLC, or a franchise tax and annual report for a corporation, whether or not the company trades. For a founder who isn't raising money, that's a yearly cost with little in return.
Nothing in the $500 covers the years after formation, so Delaware's yearly filing and the federal return are yours to arrange.
Stripe still reviews the business before the account is approved.

If you want a Delaware C-Corporation to raise money, Atlas is excellent, and we'd say so. If you want an LLC that costs little to keep, Atlas forms in Delaware only, where an LLC pays $400 a year, and its price doesn't cover anything after formation. That's the case we're built for.
