What it means in practice.

A C-Corporation reports its income, deductions and tax on Form 1120, due on the 15th day of the fourth month after its year ends, which is 15 April for a calendar year. Form 7004 gives six more months to file. A foreign-owned single-member LLC files a pro forma version as the cover for Form 5472.
