Should a founder abroad form in Alaska?
Alaska has no state income tax, like Wyoming, but it costs more and shows more. The filing fee is $250, a business licence costs $50 a year on top of the report every two years, and that report lists the company's owners publicly. Over five years that's $700 in state charges, against $342.40 in Wyoming. Alaska makes sense for a business actually based there, and it's an expensive choice for a founder forming from abroad.
